Still About Comfort

The newest craze in office furniture technology is the invention of ergonomic desk and office chairs. If you go searching for an ergonomic desk chair, you'll soon realize that adding "ergonomic" to your search won't really make the job any easier; there are seemingly thousands of makes and models to choose from. The ergonomic mesh office chair might be a good way to narrow your search, however, since many people agree that ergonomic chairs made with mesh material are significantly softer and more comfortable than other models. Among the companies that offer mesh-style office chairs, Aeron offers one of the most popular and effective models. You'll find the Aeron mesh office chairs to be both stylish and comfortable. Plus, they come with additional features such as an active lumbar support, a synchronized tilt, and a contoured seat that you can choose to have in either black mesh or fine Italian leather. With these features in mind, you can see that this really is the best value in professional seating.

In addition to the above mentioned features, the Aeron mesh office chair also features a fully adjustable lumbar support, which is integrated into the backrest cushion. This fully customizable setting allows you to dial up the perfect amount of softness or firmness into the backrest so that you'll be pain-free throughout the day

Operate With Ease

As with all well made ergonomic office chairs, adjustability is the real key to what makes them ergonomic and, in the end, much more comfortable than a generic desk chair. The Aeron ergonomic mesh office chairs are fully adjustable and contain a suspension system that allows for an even amount of firmness or softness, depending on your personal preferences. In addition to being able to adjust the overall height of the chair, the armrests can also be adjusted up, down, forward, or backward, and the angle of the backrest can be changed as well. . Add to this the fact that they are made out of soft polyurethane and you will see just how comfortable they truly are.

Another wonderful feature is the synchro-tilt control found on most ergonomic mesh office chairs models, which allows the backrest to recline at a faster rate than the seat. This ultimately allows for a more natural positioning of the back and neck while working. There are also controls for tension adjustment, which controls how easily the backrest will recline.

Finally, the Aeron features a tilting seat front, a feature than can dramatically improve or eliminate strain on your lower back. By allowing the seat to tilt upward or downward slightly, an individual can find a position that allows them to work without compressing the lower back. Together with a heavy-duty frame and dual hooded wheel casters, the Aeron ergonomic mesh office chair will prove the best value for your money.

Great Deal Herman Miller Aeron Home Office Chair Loaded - Polished Aluminum Frame - Leather Arms - PostureFit - Grey-Black Tuxedo Large Size C

Well, it wasn't cheap. But after 4 years, I don't really think about that. This is a great chair, and I haven't had any back problems, ever at all, since I got it. I work 8-16 hours a day, and the Aeron never lets me down. Cheaper than a chiropractor!

The Humanscale Freedom and Steelcase Leap are also excellent chairs. I did consider them too. In my few minutes of testing, they seemed to be almost as comfortable, and didn't need the 10 minutes of adjustments that I had to give the Aeron before I was really comfy in it. But ultimately, I bought the "size C executive aeron polished" because

#1: It was still comfortable after I started to sweat
#2: The armrests felt just right under my forearms
#3: Herman Miller! In 15 years, I will have no trouble getting even the most esoteric part for this chair.

I love my chair.

Note: The shiny silver finish, "full adjustability", and "lumbar support" are near-worthless unless you have to impress minions. If you're paying for this yourself, save many hundreds of dollars and just buy the basic chair with leather armrests (you don't want the sticky plastic standard armrests).

Excellent chair for the long haul / long work days - J. Jackson - Ohio USA
I will have to admit that when I first got the chair and sat down in it that I was not overly impressed - I expected it to be immediately super-comfortable. It actually takes sitting in it for hours to truly appreciate it. It becomes pretty obvious that after an 80 hour work week with no back stress / pain from sitting in a chair that you made a good choice.

I have spent untold amounts of money over the years buying basic office chairs from local Office Max, Staples and other retailers and have never kept one more than a year or so. The seat and back fabric feels a little cheap at first but after years of sitting in the chair with no noticeable deformity to the material - it very obviously is not cheap.

I have now had this chair for nearly 3 years and it is no worse for the wear than when I got it. It comes with a 12 year replacement warranty - this means it will cost me far less over the course of the 12 years than cheap, retail chairs.

I am a decent sized guy (240lbs) and work 8-16 hours per day in a home office. I wouldn't trade this chair for any other office chair I have ever used.

It may be a Herman Miller, but don't buy it... - Rob R. - Boston
The chair was delivered quickly and all was in good condition. It is a heavy box and the FedEx delivery man put it just inside my house for me. It came with two different sets of instructions, one being the correct method to assemble the chair, one being an impossible method to achieve. The seller had good communication, but their Order Summary stated ,225.00 instead of ,099.00 that Amazon quoted, and lucky only ,099.00 was charged to my credit card!

So what do I think about the chair? I had extremely high expectations that were based on other feedback found on Amazon and the well known quality of Herman Miller. I have to be honest to say that I am frankly disappointed with the chair for multiple reasons:

1. The outside box was NOT stamped Herman Miller. Rather, it was sort of a generic (but very solid) box. For such an expensive chair, I would have thought it would be clearly stamped with what it contained including the model number and logo of the manufacturer.

2. The quality of the fabric (seat/back) is tough, yet also feels very cheap to the touch. The "leather" arms are not plush, but feel much more similar to plastic than leather (being leather, if it really is leather, adds absolutely no value). The plastic molded frame feels like a child's toy. The buttons and knobs do not feel like they would last very long.

3. The chair does not seem to be stamped Herman Miller anywhere. Just two "address labels" that immediately peel off the bottom of the chair identify the manufacturer and model number. A second peel off contains some information about the contents in relationship to fire codes.

4. No where on the chair does it indicate the "size C" that I ordered. This is strange more than anything.

5. Very minimal literature, instructions, warranty information, or anything else was included.

6. In terms of comfort, I was expecting to sit on a "thrown" and have my back feel immediately better than any other chair I've ever sat on. I'm truly disappointed and the chair feels no better than various chairs you may find at Staples for 0.

7. The arms of the chair pivot to the right and left. This does NOTHING and adds no value. Some of the other adjustments turn, but I don't notice anything different. Basically, there are a lot of knobs, but nothing makes the chair truly comfortable.

I strongly recommend that you DO NOT buy this chair. I know that is contrary to so many other posts that are online. But it is possible that this manufacturer has started to make very low quality chairs. My wife is very upset with my purchase and wants me to return it. I'm one of those that just feel I am stuck with it, even at a 00 price tag. But I promise you, you should stay clear from this chair and just buy a high-end model at staples, which usually sell for 0.

Trust me... this is not luxury, comfortable, or even cool looking. This is a totally useless chair and not worth your time or money. Think long and hard before you buy this chair.

Duvet cover sets

I remember the first time I shopped on eBay. I was looking for the absolutely "Perfect" comforter for my first child. I had found one that was perfect for the room but of course, as anyone who has ever shopped for baby items knows, the price was absolutely outrageous in the department stores.

So someone reccommended eBay to me to search for a better price. Not really ever using the computer and unaware of really what "eBay" even was, I decided to take a try anyways.

Within seconds I had found what I wanted for a price that was unbelievable. And to think that I had spent all of that wasted time driving around these stores trying to find a better price, when I could have it shipped directly to me for 40% less and the seller offered Free Shipping. I was hooked immediately.

Since that time, I have educated myself and feel like I know waay too much about both online shopping and eBay. It is amazing how easy it is to find a deal on almost any product imaginable. Office Chairs for example can be entered into the search box of eBay and returns hundreds of different office chairs and office furntiure products.

I decided to try a test and start comparing prices and it turned out that no matter which model I looked up for an office chair, whether it be the Herman Miller Aeron or the Office Star Matrex collection, eBay 's prices were lower and actually amazed me at how low. It seems like they are selling office chairs on eBay for below the cost to make them.

When ordering on eBay most of these office chair suppliers, at least the ones who know what they are doing and are powersellers, all offer Free Shipping and a money back guarantee. Now how can you go wrong ordering an office chair for half the price, wih free shipping to your home and with a guarantee in case you are unhappy. Making sure to purchase from a seller who is on reputable and has a good status as a Powerseller and happy customer feedback is also important.

Whether ordering office chairs, baby comforters or the average basketball hoop, it is always amazing to me how much product is out there for sale on eBay and what great prices they have even to this day. Having been an eBayer for a long time now, almost since the start of the mammoth company, I have always been impressed with both prices and service for the items I have purchased.

Just make sure which eBayer you are buying from and you are bound to get a good deal and find out how easy it can be to shop at home and never have to stand in line one of those department stores again.

Great Deal Aeron Chair by Herman Miller - Home Office Desk Task Chair Fully Loaded Highly Adjustable Medium Size (B) - PostureFit Lumbar Back Support Cushion Titanium Smoke Frame Classic Zinc Pellicle

I got the C size of this chair for my office (I posted a review on it and you can see my verified purchase). Also, the one I got is in black, but the price was identical and I tried out both the B and C sizes in a local store.

At first it was difficult to conceive spending this much on an office chair but after searching for the best price, considering also shipping and taxes, I made the mental adjustment. The more time goes by, the better I feel about the purchase. If you spend a lot of time sitting, you've got to think about long term back health, and this chair has a very decent 12-year warranty (let's hope the company stays in business).

The first thing you should do if you are prepared to buy this chair is go to a store and sit on the different sizes to be sure of your size. The B and C sizes cost the same right now both on Amazon and at most stores. I got the C because the B cuts off much shorter at the legs, the thighs, and B was too short for me by a good margin although I'm not especially tall. The B size cuts off shorter than those standard cheap office chairs you normally see, just to put it into perspective. At the same time, the C is quite wide - surprisingly so. I didn't need the wideness of the C but I needed the length of the seat so as not to cut off short for the legs. One can adjust the arms inward, among other arm adjustments, to compensate against the wideness of the C. If you're relatively short, the B should be perfect for you. If you get a quote at the store and include taxes, I'm pretty confident it won't be competitive with this price even if you use a floor model price.

The second thing to think about if you're going to buy an Aeron is which Aeron you want. This one, the PostureFit, is their top of the line. The lumbar support can be adjusted in and out, providing more lumbar support. The next Aeron down the line is a little cheaper but the lumbar support can only slide up and down, providing a set amount of lumbar support but allowing one to position it (PostureFit does not slide; it's lumbar support position is fixed). I am confident that if you test those differences out in the store, you'll easily find which one is pefect for you.

Now if you're ready to pay this much for an ergonomic chair and you've decided which Aeron to get, the next thing to be aware of is assembly. Be prepared to spend up to half an hour on assembly. When you see the wires running underneath as part of the complicated lumbar mechanism, you'll see why. I asked the guy in the store how long it takes to assemble and he said if he is uninterrupted, he can put one together in 25 minutes. It took me a half hour to assemble the first time, but I used the clear instructions.

The warranty is an important part of this purchase. I've talked with people that vouched for the fact that a service technician will come to your home or office to repair this chair as you go for a whole 12 years. Things happen that may cause you to get service. The mesh may tear and need replacement. A common thing, the guy in the store told me, is that the up-down mechanism may need to be fixed, and that is supposed to be an easy thing for the technician to fix. These chairs are designed to handle the weight of up to a 250 pound person. If you're heavier than that, you may need to get the above-mentioned part fixed but the warranty will cover it.

Finally, after covering decision points and information points, the chair feels good to sit on. It's the best I've ever experienced. I believe my productivity will go up as a result, and it's just a shame more employers don't pay for them considering that it is really a good investment in getting more out of an employee. I unfortunately had to pay for my Aeron myself. I love the chair and I provided it for myself at work at my own expense.

Wonderful and Gorgeous Chair!! - shoeluvr - Miami Beach
My husband was having back problems from spending hours in his office chair. Ever since I got him this chair for Christmas, he hasn't made a single complaint about his back. And not only does it offer great support, the chair looks fabulous in our home office. Well worth the price!!
